CNA Courses Michigan
Any individual aiming to enter health care field in the state of Michigan, must complete state and federal OBRA-87 required CNA Courses Michigan, which has a duration of 75 hours, consisting of classroom instruction and clinical hands-on experience under the supervision of a RN or LPN. The clinical training also offers a chance on gaining knowledge on caring of actual patient, which these students are required to perform, when they are on actual job.
The programs can be attended from various schools and community colleges throughout the MI State. The programs offered by these schools must meet the requirements of State and OBRA-87 provisions. The prerequisite to get enrolled in a program includes criminal back ground check.
It is the responsibility of Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) to approve or disapprove various programs offered by various schools and colleges. MDCH also oversees that all programs offered to the aspiring CNA students meets OBRA requirements.

Medical Terminology knowledge is essential to understand various types of medical words, phrases, symbols, and abbreviations that are commonly used in medical language by the physicians, nurses and specialty nurses. Medical abbreviations are helpful, while recording and documenting patient’s medical symptoms, history, diagnosis, and treatment.
Human anatomy course instructs on body systems that includes knowledge on skeletal system, Digestive systems, Muscular system, Lymphatic system, Endocrine system, Nervous system, cardiovascular system and Urinary system.
The students also gain knowledge on the various science subjects, communication and interpersonal skills, CPR, Restorative Cares, Mental Heath Cares, Infection Control, Basic Nursing Skills, Personal Care Skills and other skills.
